Beeswax Wraps Workshop w. Roo Whetstone
Join us for this creative workshop and learn how to make your own beeswax food wraps - one simple way to make a difference and reduce single-use plastic. Beeswax wraps provide an easy, reusable alternative to plastic food storage. Beeswax is naturally antibacterial and by using 100% cotton, these wraps are biodegradable and will break down in your compost. They are a kitchen-food preserving game changer! They make great gifts and kids love them too!
Your wraps can be used to cover bowls and platters but and are also great for wrapping up anything you’d use plastic wrap for (half of an avocado, crackers, cheese, a sandwich, etc).
We will provide beeswax, oil and as much fabric as we can. If you'd like to bring your own fabric, it must be 100% cotton and very thin! Bring it along and be prepared to get a little sticky.
What to Bring:
-If you have a specific fabric that you love (and it meets the requirements above)
-Pinking shears (if you have some)
-Clothing that you don’t mind getting sticky/waxy (just in case!)
